Bringing People Together for Animals and Community
Our Story, Mission, and Values
High Tails Events began with a simple belief: cannabis culture can be a powerful force for good. We host inclusive cannabis consumption events where half the proceeds go entirely to local animal rescues in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. Our mission is to uplift the most vulnerable dogs and strengthen communities by bringing people together for meaningful connection and support.

Meet Our Founder
As a single mother of three and a survivor of domestic violence, I’ve experienced firsthand what it means to rebuild, persevere, and create something meaningful from life’s most difficult chapters. Those experiences shaped my passion for helping others—both people and animals—find safety, healing, and second chances.
For more than 15 years, I’ve built a career in hospitality, event planning, community engagement, and creating memorable experiences that bring people together. Along the way, I realized I wanted to use those skills to support a cause that has always been close to my heart: animal rescue.
Over the years, I have fostered 51 dogs and counting, ranging from newborn puppies and pregnant mothers to medical cases, behavioral rehabilitation dogs, and animals facing euthanasia. My experience extends beyond fostering and includes rescue intake coordination, trapping lost and stray dogs, rehabilitation planning, behavioral support, transport coordination, and advocacy for at-risk animals. Every dog has taught me something different, but all of them have reinforced one belief: every animal deserves a chance.
For the past year, I have proudly served as the Volunteer Canine Program Coordinator for PetPromise Rescue, where I have worked alongside dedicated volunteers, fosters, trainers, veterinarians, and adopters to help save and place dogs in loving homes. Through that role, I have seen both the incredible successes and the overwhelming challenges that rescues face every day—from overcrowded shelters and rising medical costs to the constant need for foster homes and community support.
High Tails was created to be part of the solution.
By combining my lifelong passion for animal rescue and advocacy with my professional background in events and hospitality—and my appreciation for cannabis culture and the welcoming community surrounding it—I created High Tails as a way to make a meaningful impact while bringing people together.
Our mission is simple: create unforgettable experiences that directly support animal rescue efforts. Every event is an opportunity to raise awareness, generate funding, build partnerships, and give animals in need a better chance at the lives they deserve.
Whether we’re hosting a community gathering, a cannabis-friendly event, or a fundraising experience, the goal remains the same: to turn good times into real-world impact.
Because behind every rescue statistic is a dog waiting for a family, a foster opening their home, a volunteer giving their time, and a community choosing to care.
Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we’re creating second chances—one event, one rescue, and one tail wag at a time.
